Hello My 57 olds 88 has the origional 371 with 58k miles. Is this engine worth keeping and rebuilding? My dad sais I should go modern and buy a crate motor,but I kinda want to keep the 371. Any opinions???

Thanks so much! From what you guys are telling me, it's all origional! It was givin to me by a family friend and it has 58k origional miles. Im planning on doing a rotissorie media blasting and maybe repainting it a two-tone(not sure).

Hello I am 15 and have a 1957 olds 88 4-door. I was wondering if anybody could help decoding the vin on the door jam and on the firewall. The vin tag on the door jam reads: 577W15254. The tag on the firewall reads: paint 60-60-10-10, Style 573669,Trim 365, Body BW3683, ACC-K7. Any help would be appreciated.
