  1. The W16Ys work perfectly. I have had no problems at all. I have purcahsed the W16YCs as they are the current production plug from Champion. The C is for a copper core so in theory they should actually be better. I don't think the gap is that important and either .022" or .025" would be okay, however I have two references and both say .022". I can't remember when I last checked the gap. I have been using these plugs since I got the car (12 years) and they have covered several thousand miles (about 1500 miles in the last 3 weeks!).

  2. Your '29 Oaklnd will have a crossflow radiator and normally there will be no water immediately below the radiator cap. For this reason a Mto-meter will not work as it will not be in the water.

    Use the hole in the side of the head between 5 & 6 cylinders and put in a modern gauge.
