  1. Is this it? http://home1.gte.net/res18996/Misc/Window%20requlator.jpg or this? http://home1.gte.net/res18996/Misc/Window%20Regulator%202.jpg
  2. Thanks. I see two plugs with several wires coming out to the left of the booster both held down with bolts. Is this wht you were refering to?
  3. Just got the breaks working, now the windows stopped working. They worked off and on before but now nothing! This is for a 1972 Ford Thunderbird. None of the window switches work on any of the windows. The window lock switch could be stuck 'off' but usually disconnecting the battery will reset this. The only culprit I can find may be the window relay, the fuse is fine but the relay is the primary control so it may be the problem. I do not know where the switch is. Can anyone help? See her here: http://home1.gte.net/res18996/
  4. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I would replace the brake light switch and the neutral safety switch might need to be replaced or the linkage adjusted if you have to jiggle the selector to get it to work, the neutral safety and back up light switch are togather and should be mounted on the trans where the shift arm comes out. Jeff </div></div> I checked on the two parts and they did not have the neutral safety switch (not surprising) but they did have the break light switch. But, the break light switch comes in three different types, mechanical with spring, a vacuum or hydraulic type and one other he didn't explain. I have the spring I found out so i will see if I can replace it. This is a little out of my area so please forgive my ignorance. I will try to get the transmission tag off, that may give some clue or just get it to my mechanic. The manuals I have don't go into to much detail so it is hard to understand how to remove it. I know it's a U code so it's a C-6 but other than that... I was able to find the break light switch in my manual and it is wher I thought it would be, attached to the break peddle. I have no idea how I am going to get it out, it a tight space. Thanks for all you help, Mark
  5. I am having a problem tracking down a problem with my break lights on my 1972 Thunderbird. When I step on the beaks the lights don't work and if I stand on them they come on but go off almost right away. Also the backup lights work off and on. If I place the car in reverse and giggle the gear selector they come on but if I touch it at all they go off again. ALSO, the dash lights flicker on and off. This has to be an electrical problem but I can not seem to track it down. I am considering replacing the headlight switch but that may only fix the dash flicker. Please help.
  6. I just picked up my baby from the shop after having the engine rebuilt. Man does it run great! Please check out my site and let me know what you think. http://home1.gte.net/res18996/before-after.htm Enjoy! Mark

  8. New here and thought I would introduce myself. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> I am the proud owner of a 1985 and 1972 Thunderbird. The 85 is my wife's daily driver and the 72 is my pride and joy. I first owned a 72 when I as 18 and always wanted to find one when I got older. Well I finally found one: I purchased her from a little old lady in Arizona. She is black with black interior, bucket seats w/center console (rare I am told), 460ci engine (also rare I am told). I only took delivery on December 3rd, 2005 so I have not been able to do much so far but tune it up and put fresh tires on it. I plan to locate a good restoration shop and start restoring her to her original glory. I am in need of a few items if anyone can help: Dash Cap (black) rubber weather-stripping/Seals for both doors Dome light cover air intake snorkel Please let me know what you think.
