Did you ever figure out how to do the conversion? I have a 64 Electra, and I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Would love to get some feedback on this. Thanx

Finally took delivery of my 1964 Electra 225! Now the fun begins. Does anyone know of a good and reasonable restoration shop to bring the car to? At the start need some basics, i.e. ball joints and suspension. Will graduate to body restoration later. Any ideas, suggestions would be really appreciated. Dave

Thanx for the welcome. Scott, appreciate the info. and will use 93 octane. Lamar, will post some pics soon, will hopefully keep a "before / after" type of log on the car. John, thanx, and will register with BCA within the next week or so as traveling on the road this week. I live in Brick, NJ. Would you know the closest chapter to me? I recently moved from Brooklyn, NY so finally have some space to devote to the hobby! Dave

Hi all and Happy New Year, Just purchased a beautiful black 64 Electra, the car of my dreams from the 60's. Some TLC, elbow grease, and steady driving are all in the future. I would like to ask a real "newby" question. What's the best octane gas to feed my new baby? Should I put in lead additives? Looking forward to joining the BCA and my local NJ chapter. Dave
