  1. Hi Mike, I am interested. I will call you tomorrow.
  2. Does anyone have the original retainers for the rear tail fin mouldings? I know and can get some type of after market but for this they seem very specific and would like originals. There are 3 per side. Thanks!
  3. Does anyone know if a new old stock part is available for to replace my worn and leaking one? It is the housing with gear where the speedometer cable enters the transmission. I have a 1959 Dynaflow. Not sure if this was a standard part across various years. Thanks!
  4. Thank you! I am now an official member of the club...
  5. My speedometer does not reset when slowing down, it just always rolls to the max and stays there. Has anyone had this happen to them? I understand there are magnets that are supposed to roll it back. I am hoping I do not have to tear my dash down to resolve this! Thanks!
  6. Thank you Mike! My suspicions have been confirmed!
  7. Thank you very much, I will give Wheatbelt a call. Regards, Jerry
  8. Hi, it appears that my rear springs were not installed correctly, at the top of the springs there is no "cup" for the springs to seat in. Does anyone know how this is supposed to work? All I see is a threaded stud and the pad that the spring is resting against, this seems on the dangerous side to me but I did not do the work so I do not know what it looked like before. Thanks! 9. Hi, I am interested if this bumper is still available. Thanks!

  11. Hey Rich, I was able to get back out to the garage. I removed the driven gear and installed the pump and had no issue with turning the output shaft. I then flipped the driven gear and had the binding issue again. I then took the drive gear off (not recommended for type a personalities!) . I saw I have a lot of scoring now on the rear plate and the drive gear. I decided to order a new pump and plate from Fatsco. Next update when I get the parts! Jerry
  12. Hmm, ya know I did not do that. This is great advice, I will be working on my tranny the next couple of nights and let you know how I make out! I am indeed working on my apparent "life long project" , my '59 Buick. Thanks! Jerry
  13. Thanks, I will go look again in my book. Last question (promise!), I did not recall seeing a gasket between the rear pump and the plate. There is one between the plate and the housing which I have installed. If I am missing a gasket that would explain my problem. Do you recall? Thanks! Jerry
  14. Thanks Rich! I reused my old drive gear and ended up flipping it as I suspected I did not install it as it had been before, this helped a lot. I also only torqued to the low end of the recommendation of 20 to 30 ft/lbs (I used 20). I am going to go back and take your approach, thanks for this information, I appreciate it! Jerry
  15. Hi Rich, I am in the middle of rebuilding my dynaflow as well. Can you tell me if your output shaft turned freely after you installed the rear oil pump? Mine turns but certainly not freely as the shop manual says it should. Thanks! Jerry
