I have recently purchased a 1951 Ford 1/2 ton for my boss. I am going to restore it for him. The truck has a 226 and 3 on the tree. A friend of mine told me that the 226 was a prewar motor and a 51 should have a 223 in it.Is he correct, or do I have the original motor for this truck I am a Chevrolet guy and know nothing about Ford trucks, so any help will be appreciated.
