    Northstar with Porsche trans
  2. Hey F14, It still b would be a lot of work even to change out to a 3800sc. I still think the V8 is the way to go. I install the V8 in my Fiero and there was nothing like it. I had corvette's and my last one was a 95 Vette and that Fiero with the Cad V8 just haul's and the sound of the V8. Now with the Reatta I know it will be more of a challange. But, like I said it is when you fire3 it up is when it is all worth it. After my post and a lot of people were saying to go RWD. I like that. When you have FWD drive you can only have so much power going to the front wheels. RWD handles and controls a lot more power. So, I decided Northstar RWD...That is my winter project.
  3. Cadillac V8 at it's best...Mounted in a Fiero

    THE PIX!

Hey F14, You are killing me. I wish I was 18 again and had a car like a Buick Reatta to go to school in. I had an Opel GT for my school car. Not like a Reatta. The girls back then did not look like that either. If they did, I would have probly never gradulated and become a professional student. Enjoy life while you can. Me jealous... P.S. Your car looks great too.
  5. Are you happy with the results of your SC Reatta. Enough power? Do you have any pics of it? Thank you, Randy
  6. No kidding, Seems like lately that all Reatta 4 sale half been up in the east coast. Them 4 rag tops sure seem like a great deal. Have any of them sold yet? I hope everything is ok for the gentleman that is selling the cars. I think he said family emergency. Dont like getting great deals on someones pain
  7. Barney, Where in TX are you?
  8. I am down in Harlingen by McAllen area. I will make sure I attend the that show in MN. Sounds fun.
  9. AWD would be the way to go. I had a old STE. Thanks for all the great ideas. I know now I wont be sleeping tonight. lol
  10. Hi Randy, I live in TX where I have a concrete company. I also still go to Minnesota. Half and half. In Minnesota I am located in Maple Grove. I am hoping people get together with there Reatta's from time to time. I'd be there. It would be fun to see your shop. In TX I live in a wantabe Tiger Woods country club. They tried to stop me from painting my house without a permit. So it is harder for me to work on my projects here. So, I go to MN as much as I can. I sure miss the midwest. I will be in MN for the month of Dec. maybe that will work.
  11. I attached a pic of the project my father and I are doing.
  12. That would be interesting
  13. There is many choices out there for the engine swap. I did a LT1 swap in my Dad's 1950 chevy truck. We also installed suicude doors on it. Sweet truck we still need to finish some body work and paint. Whatever I decide to install it must be fuel injection. I like the looks of the 3800sc. But, I had 97 Riviera and just not enough power for the work it would be. The idea of rwd sound interesting. Then talking old school ways to power up. Thats how I was raised. My dad had 58 Vette. I am 37y/o but grew up with learning about cars with the muscle cars. We installed a 95 independent vette rearend in the 50 chev truck. I will check the width of the Reatta in the rear. Maybe the same rearend would fit.
