  1. I'm sorry Guy, but I should've clarified earlier. I always take to a project that if you replace something, try your best to replace everything in it's way. It will make this job a little tougher but the next one won't be. I do not mean to sound rude, because I will benifit and thank you for every bit of advice you will donate. I'm in the process of getting pics and more info for you guys. Thanks a bunch so far, Jake
  2. Thank you philippe. You sound very knowledgable. I'm quit glad I decided to join this forum. Everyone has been a major help and you will be hearing from me in the future. Thats not a promise, it's a threat.
  3. I have check the car over and heard of this recall before. the motor mounts are in good conditions, but will be replaced when the motor gets put for rebuild. The car is sound and solid, and is showing signs of cancer as described and i already have metal on the way for it. thanks, any tips do help
  4. thanks guys. My dad bought the car about eight years ago sith intent to restore. Its been past down to me see as I am going to mechanics school. All I really know wbout the car is that its a white with grey interior, two door, and I beleive its got a 389 v8 auto. I heard rumors that they had a tri-carb setup available. I haven't messed with the car for years, sincs high school. I wasn't to classic savy back then. I will see the car next over x-mas, seeing as i'm in a different state going to school. I will have a ton more questions then.
  5. I have attaind a 65 lesabre coupe. I really like the look of the car and would like to take it to as original as possible. This is my first resto and any helpful hints will be appriciated. Thanks everyone.
  6. I've been trying to find information and parts to restore my buick. I can't find anything related to this until now. I hope I can get a lot of tips. This is my first restoration attempt. It is a two door coupe with a great body. It should take to terribly much, but it should be fun.
