Thanx for the response,CarbKing.In this aplication the carb used on the 317ci and the 389ci is the same cfm carter wcfb,the only diference to my knowledge is the diferent size jets,should I just be looking for bigger jets?or Is the float level responsible?its a freshley professionally rebuilt carb.thanx so much!

i have a wcfb carter carb on a 389cid pontiac engine. the carb came off a 317cid and am having problems with running awfuly rich,carb is rebuilt any suggestions what may cause this? vepf

if its the electronic torqconverter, there is a conecter that you can unplug and it should take care of the problem. pete
