1. Ok, Thanks for your inputs. I have to look for a rustfree 1953 Roadmaster 4-door parts car to use for this resto. That might be very difficult? Does anyone have some leads? Around the west coast California,Arizona,Nevada? Dan 1953 Buick Roadmaster Woodie Wagon 79R
2. The wood needs to be redone. Whole car needs to be restored,so its a long way to go. Starting to disassemble, taking pictures and making notes. There is rust in floor pans, rockers, lower doors and fenders. Wood is going to be the tricky part bacause i am no carpenter. Dan
3. Wonder if 1953 Roadmaster or Super 4-doors have the same doors and fenders as the wagons? Who makes repro floor pans and rockers? Is the air cleaner for Roadmaster same for 53-56? Looking for a set of nice original Kelsey Hayes wire wheels. Thanks in advance
4. I wonder if someone done this c4 suspension from corvette. I have plans on doing this with my 1953 Buick. Is there any framebuilders doing this mod? I am going to use LS1 or LS6 engine. The wood kits that JB Donaldson in AZ sells how much work is required on these? Thanks
5. I wonder how to restore these wheels.Do you have to disasseble all the spokes and send everything to the chromer or can you leave them assembelled? Is there any books on this subject that shows how to assemble the spokes and get the hub centered? Is there any wood kits available for 1953 wagons? If there is kits available are these usally boltons or is it much work required to finish the wood work? Thank you.
