... I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your post. We had a bad thunderstorm here last night and I don't often have time to do anything personal at work. I am really a newbie at this so I'm sorry for not posting more information. I'd really like my car to go to someone who will drive it - I am preparing an spec sheet of detail so that anyone who is interested can get the facts they need. I'm not out to make a $$ here - I just want to be able to find someone who wants the car. She's served me well - Here is some detail ... if you are truly interested, I'll privately email you. 1990 Reatta Coupe (sunroof)- Purchased September 1992. I am the 2nd owner of the car. Mileage - I rechecked last night, it's 197,000+ Location - Germantown, Maryland (near Frederick, Maryland - Metro Washington DC area) but I don't drive it in commuter traffic (I take a commuter train). Details: New engine installed at 127,000 miles. Has performed beautifully. I feel the car body is in great shape - I still get compliments and "what car is this" when I'm filling up. A few road related chips in the hood (unavoidable), a few areas where the clear coat is giving out. Tires are about 3 years old - only 18,000 miles on them. A/C has been converted to New freon. New catalytic converter and front brake rotors early this year. We have emmission testing here - it was testing in December and passed with flying colors even before I replaced the catalytic converter. I do have all my service records - oil faithfully changed at 3,000 miles. Interior is good - though sunwashed carpet behind seats. Needs new headliner. Installed an aftermarket AM/FM CD player that even has a remote. (I did keep the factory installed unit. I replaced it because the cassette deck repeatedly quit working despite repairs.) Other repairs needed: Sunroof not working. Bad shoe on one side. Couldn't come to terms with the price quoted to keep original. (It's pricey around here.) Instrument cluster burned out on me in late April. I've tried to find one my mechanic couldn't find one. Burn out affected the main blower in engine compartment - the blower itself is not damaged - believe it could be a ground or a heat damage issue with the wiring. As I mentioned in my first post - I do have the GM service manual for the car. I recognize the challenges with the instrument cluster and I haven't fully explored other possible repair issues but I'm willing to negotiate a price. Family illness is the reason I'm replacing the Reatta. If I had more resources ($$ and time) I would ask your help to find the parts I need. If you are interested, I'll answer other questions and provide more detail. I did drive the car - most of her miles are road miles either driving to Indiana (where I grew up) or to North Carolina where my sister lives. This car is a great road car as I'm sure you know.
