  1. Would like to find a pair of front bumper guards for my '48 Roadmaster. Somehow the wrong guards got installed on my car. The guards I have are releived on both sides for the character lines that are not on the center bumper piece. This leaves a gap on the inside of the guards and looks unfinished.

  2. I would like to see an engine with the decal readable, I plan to have this phrase lettered on my car elsewhere than the engine. Anyone have a picture of an engine with this lettering on it?.... thanks, Buford 8

  3. I bought this '48 Roadmaster last year, it was in So. Cal. The other day I found a pic of it from the Columbus, OH. Street Rod Nats. in 2002. The credit for the photo is Steve Arnett.....no other info. I would really like to know the history of this car. I will attempt to attach a pic of it as it appeared in '02 and a pic of it now. The car is undergoing a complete rebuild this year and will be ready to hit the street soon.

Thanks for any help, Buford 8.

  4. No. sorry I don't know of any info on what header panel will fit. You might get in trouble with the core support because the header panel bolts up to it as well as the fenders. You might be able to fabricate brackets to attach header to Chevy core support. Good luck, Buford 8...........

  5. I bought a damaged 1980 Olds Cutlass a few years back. The car needed a front clip and I couldn't find one locally but did find a '79 Buick Regal front so I married that to the Cutlass, came out pretty good and I still see it occasionlly around the area.Just remember two doors and four doors won't interchange. Just thought that might help, Buford 8.

  6. Hello, it sounds to me if the vibration gets better by correcting the runout problem you might have some success by adding washers of various weights and at different places on the clutch-flywheel assy. I once had a v-6 GMC gas engine that would vibrate at about 60 MPH, it was bothersome and I started to experiment with different washers and got that puppy so smooth that it no longer was an issue. When you add weight to one place on the flywheel it will either get noticeably worse or start to get better. If you mark the starting place you can keep moving the weight around till you find that "sweet spot". This method also works quite well on ceiling fans in our houses too! Good luck! Buford 8.

  7. Happy New Year everyone, anybody know where I can get the proper cat whisker material for the belt line of my '48 Buick? The stuff I got from CARS is too big and puts an unusual bind on the glass making it difficult to roll the windows up and down. The original cat whisker is quite a bit smaller than the replacement stuff. This has a stainless bead that is exposed and the regular looking fuzzy material that rides against the glass on both sides. Thanks for any help. Buford 8. tongue.gif [color:"red"]

  8. I want some rocker covers from a later model Buick that have the word "Buick" stamped in them or the words "Wildcat 355" stamped. . I am not trying to get them for a particular year Buick engine I just want the embossed name parts. Thanks, Buford 8.
