  1. What kind of rear main seal do you have? Is it the rope seal? Those are known to leak pretty easily. Be sure your crankcase has an inlet and an outlet to ensure proper breathing. Your intake should have a large tube in front for the oil fill, correct. Make sure the cap is not plugged with trash. Is there also an elbow with a small tube at the rear of the intake? Been a long time since I thought about an old Chevy small block, perhaps there are others that can give better advice. I learned everything about a small block Chevy from a book called "How to rebuild your small block Chevy". Should be able to find a copy at the library, as it is a very popular book. Ken
  2. HI thanks for the info. I'll let you know the details of the pump when I get it. I did call CarQuest and they gave me two parte numbers Airtex P/N E84259 was a vane type pump, positive or negative ground, for $102 dollars AC-DELCO E8011 (replacement for EP-11) but was told this was for a negative ground only (perhaps the guy was wrong).   4. I checked with Napa, they are now obsolete. They game me the P/N Balkamp P/N 6101012 Will check in Hemmings.
  5. Any suggestions for a 6 volt positive ground electric fuel pump? Thanks, Ken
