  1. Hi, I had a '66 442 conv. that I had bought from my dad in 1968. I sold it in '77 or '78 with around 20,000 miles on it. the serial # is 338676m146372, 4-speed, console, deluxe light blue interior, dark blue exterior, white conv. power top & wire caps. Also power steering which was added from a 1965 cutlass in 1970. There was a tach. mounted on the steering column. It came new from Rochester, NY and I remember it being caught in the rain only a very few times and never in salt or winter. This car was a part of our young family and then when we purchased a '69 corvette conv. in 1974, I stopped driving the 442. I guess growing up dreaming about sporty cars just meant a corvette was the ultimate. Now 40 years later, I still love the corvette and still own it, but, I have always regretted parting with the favorite car of my life. I hope someone is taking good care of and enjoying it. If the owner would like a set wheels from it and the manual steering box from it, drop me an e-mail. I believe I have also kept a set of GM keys and you're more them welcome to them. I also know a lot of history about the car I could share with you. Thanks, Sully
