Thanks for the advice. I need to clean the roof material on my '28 also, it's been in storage since '55 and other than being very dirty it seems to have no rips or loose seams. What is the material, I've been told it's rubber coated canvas, the old car parts houses have a vinyl material but I don't think they had vinyl in 1928. After washing the dirt and bird crap off what would be a good dressing or preservative to apply. Thanks again for the advice.

I am looking for any advice on converting my '28's mechanical brakes to hydraulic. My dash mounted gas gauge is also a mess, any suggestions on repairing/ restoring it? Thanks!
