Bryan, I just bought a 455 a couple of months ago from a guy in Indiana. It came out of a runner. He delivered it for $175 (to Maryland!)and started the sucker up in my driveway on an engine hoist. I've torn it down and found it to be in great shape for its' age. The 455 was $550 + the delivery. If you haven't found one yet and are interested, I'll get the guy's email address and send it to you. The_Hutch '72 Skylark Custom Ragtop
I was hoping some of you good folks could provide a couple of good and reasonably priced sources for a high volume oil pan and performance pistons for a '73 455 that I am taking on. I'm aware of TA Perf. but I was wondering if anyone with more experience has better sources. I've also seen that there is a kit to increase the oil capacity and distribution of the timing cover, and was wondering if anyone might have an opinion of that vs. TA's new timing cover. Thanks!
