For those of you who haven't checked out the new issue of AA,, which is pretty cool, you may not know that AACA members get a discount on subscriptions to our new magazine <span style="font-weight: bold">Auto Aficionado</span> . If you click onto the AACA Bookmobile banner, you can check out the special offer to AACA members. We'll have our own banner on the left in a couple of days. We're already getting a great response from members who have seen our ad in your magazine. There will be some sample preview issues available at your convention next week at the Bookmobile booth. My first car was a 1949 Willys Jeepster. Now I have a 1948. This guy I know was reminiscing about the Jeepster his family had when he was a kid, and he said that it had a plaid convertible top on it. Does anybody know if plaid tops were an option when Jeepsters were sold new or whether they were an aftermarket product? Do they exist today? They're probably either really cool or really ugly. My car needs a new top and I'm just crazy enough to consider something like that. That is, until my husband finds out.
