  1. I asked this question on the "Dodge Brothers" forum, so I hope I am not repeating myself. I have a late model,(1945)WC 52; a military vehicle. I am curious to know what paint color was used to paint the engine? I suspect that these were painted at the factory, so there may be a prescribed code. It has been described by some as "Smoke White" or "Dove Grey" and varieties in between. If you have no paint color to go by, these are pretty broad descriptions! So a few questions that someone out there may be able to answer. 1. What is the proper name, and/or paint code? 2. Was the color used in civilian applications, pre or post war by Dodge? 3. Is there a color chip or current paint that matched this color? Many Thanks, Peter
  2. Hello, new here and I thought I might ask this question as it might relate to other Dodge manufactured engines of the period. Also it seems to be a question that eludes alot of the military Dodge truck restorers. I have a 1945 WC52 and the "Straight 6" engines appear to have been painted at the factory in a what has been described as "Smoke White" or "Dove Grey". My questions are; Does anyone know what this color was called and is there a paint code? Was it used in civilian applications as well? Is there a good current paint match for this paint or paint chips available to see what this color actually looked like? Thanks, Peter
