  1. Unfortunately I have to sell this project for personal reasons: 1969 Holiday Coupe Restoration Project Car for sale. California car, 1st paint, born and lived in Fremont all her live! Frame restauration completed (body is off the frame, PORIII treated), front big disk brake conversion, new brake lines, rear brakes, brake prop valve, new shocks. Totally rebuilt Oldsmobile Rocket 350 (0 miles) w/t Edelbrock intake, complete rebuilt Rochester 4 barrel, transistorized ignition system, Hooker headers, custom true dual Flowmaster 40 series exhaust. Runs strong and sounds awesome! Low miles transmission with new converter and shift kit. New Radiator with electric fan, Alternator, all Polyuretene bushings installed and new polyuretene body mounts incl. hardware still in the box. Body is completely disassembled with minimal rust, except for lower windshield frames front and rear (new front piece still in the box). Some dents. Doors and bumpers in excellent shape. All other parts are available including stripped body. Too much to list! Will sell only complete project, no individual parts. Asking $3999. Andy Hoepfner (ahoepfner@comcast.net) Tons of pictures from all angles here: http://gallery.hoepfner.net (Cutlass I, II and III albums)

  3. Sounds like mine, a '69 by accident and now a work in progress. Andy
  4. Thanks, I never thought about building a spring compressor by myself, but it seems to be realtively easy... Still worried about my fingers, though . Here's another crazy idea: I can put some ramps in front of the frame and drive the front of our Suburban on top of it - aargh - better not
  5. Thanks, I guess I'll try an internal type and let you know if I loose some fingers .
  6. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Would this type work? Ebay </div></div> I'm not sure if I can get the compressor back out through the hole after the suspension is installed. Maybe...
  7. Dave, makes total sense. Unfortunately the frame is bare nacked and the engine is not installed either.
  8. I have completely rebuilt my 69' Cutlass front and rear suspension and want to put it back together, but I have a small problem. What kind of spring compressor can I use for the front springs? The version that clamps on the outside (strut spring compressor) does not fit, and there is only a medium hole for the coil spring compressor. Not really sure what to do? Help! Sorry if this is a stupid question . Andy
  9. I'm in the middle of a frame off resto and would like to convert the front drum to disk brakes but without buying the complete conversion kit. A buddy of mine told me that I can use pretty much any spindle from a 67 to 72 olds, chevelle and such. Is this true and does anyone know a junkyard in NorCal that might have the spindles? Or should I be able to pick it up just about anywhere? Thx, Andy
  10. Hi, I'm new to the forum (and the Olds family). Previously I restored an '82 Corvette, these days I'm working on a frame off resto for an '69 Olds Cutlass 350 rocket. The car was born in Fremont, just were I live, and I bought it from my neighbour across the street, who was the first time owner. Not sure if it is worth all the afford but I sure have a lot of fun doing the project I will probably ask a lot of stupid questions here in the future, however, if anyone is interested I'm posting pictures of the progress here: http://www.hoepfner.net/cutlass Save the Wave (uups, that is only for Vette owners I guess Andy
