I have a complete buick 350 engine that I purchased a few years ago. I am now looking to rebuild it but I have no idea what year it is or what car it came from. I've been told that It may be out of a 1968 GS. The only # that I can see on the block is 1231447. Can anyone tell me how I can find out where this motor came from. I would appreciate any info. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

My name is Tom. I purchased a Buick 350 engine a few years back from a friend, but I have no idea what year it is or what car it came from. I would really like to figure it out. The only number that I see on the block is on the flywheel side of the motor and it reads 1231447. If anyone can tell me what this means or where I can find info on it please let me know.
