If yours does not have OVERDRIVE My suggestion is to install one. It will be much quieter and will cruise at 50-55 easier and get a lot better gas mileage I'm not sure however I think any year transmission with overdrive that has a floor shift will swap right out, again I'm not sure. Make sure it is not an earlier free-wheeling transmission.
