  1. Bill, Thank you for your reply. I checked out your suggestion. It does not seem to be an indication of the problem. The car has been garaged for months. Drove it once for only 2 hours and the problem recurred. Still in the garage. Missing driving with the top down during the best part of the year. Car is inoperable with the known symptoms. Stymied. Thanks again, Charlie
  2. First I want to thank you for your contributions to all of us in the TC club. You have been a great help to me in the past with the Pull Down Mechanism, Center Deck Stop Light, Struts, Radio mast, etc. I hope you can help me with the problem of an electrical nature. Symptoms: Interior illumination system lights do not go off. Door handle key illumination lights do not go on. Ignition illumination light will not go off. Attempts: I have been successful getting the interior illumination lights to go off by pulling circuit breaker #6. The car cannot be driven this way because the same circuit controls the brake lights. While having this breaker out the battery still ran down. I noticed that the ignition light still did not go out until I pulled circuit breaker #7 which controls not only the ignition light but also the dimming relay. In the past, I have also tried to isolate the short by removing the bulbs in the under hood light and the trunk light, as suggested in the TC Club Newsletter. Also removed the drivers side door panel to search for frayed wires, as suggested in the newsletter. Questions: Is this a known problem? Are both of these symptoms (interior illumination system and the ignition light) separate problems or do they all come together at the illumination system dimming relay? If it is the dimming relay, how can it be accessed for replacement? It is located between the firewall and the glove box. If the dimming relay is to be replaced, is it uniquely a TC part or are there other MOPAR substitutes? I appreciate very much your thoughts and hopefully answers to the above questions
