  1. hello everybody. Thanks for all the advice. I took the battery cables loose and inspected them. There were no soft spots or damaged spots on them. There was a kind of corrosion on them that I have never seen. It was like a shiny black rock substance. I had to chip it off the cables. I cleaned them good and sprayed them with an anticorrosion and the car has been running great since then. It has not stopped once since then.
  2. The car will not turn over or make any noise at all. I cleaned the battery cables so I will see if that helps. One more thing also, right before the car quits, the speedometer drops to 0 and then back up to the speed you are moving, in just a matter of a second.
  3. My wife just recently bought a 1990 Park Ave. with just over 100,000 miles on it. We can be driving down the road at any speed and the engine just shuts off. I pull over and try to crank it but nothing happens and all of the inside lights are real dim. The only way I can get it to crank is to disconnect the battery cables and then put them back on. Is this mean the computer is bad since I am resetting it when I disconnect the battery? Any help would be very helpful.
