anyone have a '28 pontiac indian head radiator cap for sale? the feather broke off of mine when it flew off the radiator during an earlier overheating spell(I fixed the overheating problem).

My '28 Pontiac has the same type of transmission lock; however, a previous owner removed the cable/assembly and installed (rigged) a new ignition setup. According to my shop manual, remove the transmission cover, place the car in 2nd gear and remove the taper pin to remove the cable. Perhaps there is something fouling the enguaging mechanism, preventing you from turning the key. Ian

Thanks. I did end up putting in a new 160 degree thermostat and making and making a paper washer to make up the thickness difference. Works fine. Ian

I have a 1928 Pontiac 6 Landau sedan. Looking for parts to restore it. A few years ago I heard of a guy turning his '28 into a hot rod and looking to sell a bunch of the original parts (not a good choice in my book). Anyone know this guy so I can get my hands on those parts?
