  1. Thanks, I never thought of going to the library! The County library isn't that far from my house either. Jim
  2. I have just finished a restoration on a 1968 Dodge D-100 truck, and I was trying to find some info on the dealer it came from. The previous owner said he bought it new from "CHERKOS" (SP?) Dodge in Wrightstown New Jersey they also sold Jeeps. However, I cannot find ANY info on that dealer. How, can I find out more info on it? I would also like info on a DeSoto Plymouth Dealer called Beverly Motors in Beverly New Jersey. Info like, the years they were in operation, when they closed... fun stuff like that. Is there a website where this is available? Has anyone ever heard of these dealers in NJ? Thanks! Jim
  3. Buick Doctor, I would recommend that you post the info on this Dodge over at both of these website forums. Both sites are really great! Check them out! www.dodgesweptline.org www.sweptline.org Yes, they are two different sites. BOTH have great information dedicated to the Sweptline trucks, and BOTH have great Sweptline forums. Check them out. Jim
  4. The Adventurer series trucks were not totally uncommon, but, they are the nicer trucks of the Sweptline series having the bucket seats, chrome package etc. The Adventurer package first came out in 1968. It sounds like you have the BEST of the options too! As far as the engine goes, well, I personally like to have the original engine, but, it doesn't seem to matter with the Dodge pickups. I agree with you, there are plenty of "junky" trucks to use for concrete, and nicer/older Dodges should now be enjoyed/restored and not used for "haulin junk". There are some people looking to get trucks in "nice" condition as, the Dodges had a problem with rust. Try these two sites for Sweptline trucks. www.dodgesweptline.org www.sweptline.org Yes, they are two different sites. BOTH have great information dedicated to the Sweptline trucks, and BOTH have great Sweptline forums. Check them out. Jim
