  1. YES I WAS WORKING AT A CHEVROLET STORE IN 1956 AND I PUT ON MY NEW 1956 CHEVY. IT USED A SPECIAL CENTER SECTION TO HOLD THE WHEEL.THEY HAD A CHEVROLET PART NUMBER AND EVERY DEALER HAD TO TAKE ONE,THATS HOW I GOT MINE THEY GAVE IT TO ME TO GET RID OF IT.

  2. automatic trans cranks were not drilled for standard trannys.the crank hole is not deep enough, stick a screwdriver in the hole and compare with your tranny.once in a while thay will fit,i have had some that were deep enough but the pilot bushing would fall out.seems that auto cranks were standard shift rejects

  3. the tank was not full of paint.it was full of water with a layer paint on top,the parts were suspended overhead on a moving cable that diped the part down through the paint and into the water and while it was moving came back up through the paint and went into a oven to dry.

i have seen new model a ford fenders and the finish was perfect.

dupont centari that has been buffed is about as close to the dipped fenders as you can get.
