  1. I have a Chrysler Industrial Series 30 flathead six with an Autolite 6V starter that the solenoid has apparently failed. I can find a four digit model number of 4048 on the starter. If there are more digits necessary to identify the starter, they proceed the 4048 and have been obliterated on the ID plate. I believe the solenoid contacts have failed because if we remove the starter from the engine and apply 12V power the starter spins. On board the engine we can hear the solenoid click but the starter does not spin. Anyone have any ideas where I can get parts, or what may be wrong? Thanks.
  2. I have a Pettibone Mulliken wheel loader with a Chrysler Industrial series 30 flathead six. I need to rebuild the carb and don't know what the model is. The body of the carb says Ball & Ball Carburator built for Chrysler while the top says Carter Carburator built for Chrysler. The only numbers I can find on the carb that don't appear to be casting numbers are E712. At least the E7 is what I can make out clearly. The rest is somewhat of a guess as the stamping is worn smooth. The ID plate on the engine does not have a XXXX-X code stamped on it so I don't have all the neccessary data. There is a 117L number on the plate and a serial number of 36525. Can anyone shed some light on what carb this has on it or where I might look to find more information? Thanks.
