Good Info thanks!!!. One last question/poll to end this thread. How many of you just painted the whole underneath black and how many did the frame and hardware black and body metal body color?

Ok yet another question for this beginer car nut! The frame on the 65 skylark get black correct im 100% sure of. However does the underbody it self get body color? Example the under parts of the floor pans, trunk area?

Well its now GM BLUE. I wasnt around when my fathers friend painted it and his friend is long passed away now. So i dont know if it was green, blue, or red before i painted it GM BLUE.

Ok im once again stuck in a rut!. I have an engine block number that i belive to be a 67 skylark motor 8162210 or the 8 might be a 3 cant tell. The body was a 65 but the guy i bought it from stuck a 67 front end on it. It has the 67 valve covers. Can anyone tell me what kind of freaking engine i have??? I know its def. iron heads and block and intake. The heads were redone by me and i redid the rest of the engine w/ the gasket set for a 300. I dont know im stuck once again ANY HELP IS great.

These are going on a 65 300-2 engine not a 340. Any difference or does the 300 make it easier?

Hello i just ordered the 300/340 headers from postonsbuick.com Does anybody know if i have to modify anything to set these bad boys in? Or does it have the vaccum tubs ports for the carb? ANY help is great. Stav

Ok heres my problem in a nut shell. I bought a skylark or special #43467. a few yrs ago. 65 Droptop. The guy had a 67 front end on it car was raggid. How ever a month later i bought a untouched 65 Skylark or Special w/ the v6 the body tag read 44467 on that. So i striped the 1st one and used parts on it for the 2nd one. Hello all i have got my hands on a 4brl manifold for the 300-310 wildcat. I'm wondering what one would pay for such a thing? Also if the water outlet is the same as the 300-2?
