  1. I will also include a set of hooker headers for a vega/monza. Dan
  2. Still have the engine/trans. Need to get them out of my garage. Will take any reasonable offer for both or engine only. Dan
  3. Bought this engine/trans for a project and have changed directions so I no longer need it. Asking $175. Located in a suburb west of chicago. Will not ship. Please email me at vegadan@yahoo.com if interested. Thanks, Dan

  5. I have an odd fire 231 for sale. It has a holley 390 4 barrel on a holley intake manifold, hooker headers for a monza/vega. The person I bought it from said that it has a kenne-bell cam and a high pressure oil upgrade. It comes with a clutch package. It ran good when I had it in my car, but I decided to go with an even fire engine. Best offer. Post here or email me at vegadan@yahoo.com. Thanks, Dan
  6. Hi, I have a problem with the passenger side door on my 1992 regal 4 door. I can open the door from the inside but not from the outside. I took the door panel off and have determined what the problem is, but am not sure how to fix it. The rod attached to outside handle does not extend down far enough when the handle is pulled upward. As a result, there is a spring loaded lock that does not release the catch (the part that engages the striker on the door post). I've tried adjusting the rod to lenghten it, but at the maximum adjustment, it's still not quite enough. I am thinking about going to the hardware store to get a coupler and a threaded rod of the same diameter to try to lengthen the rod further, but I thought I should check around first to see if others have had this problem and how they fixed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dan
  7. I have a 3.8l from a 1975 Skyhawk that doesn't seem to be running right. There is a vibration that is noticable from the interior that varies directly with engine speed, whether the car is moving or not. It almost seems like there is something out of balance with the engine. This is the first time that I have ever driven a car with this engine, and I know that they may tend to shake, which is why Buick switched to the even fire design. While I know that there are a lot of variables involved (i.e. motor mounts, flywheel, clutch, etc.), I was hoping to hear some feedback from anybody who is familiar with the running characteristics of these engines. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dan
