  1. I was lucky enough to find a Black '39 Commander in Elyria, OH, a few years ago which had been professionally restored in the mid 1970's but kept in a climate-controlled site until I purchased it and brought it to FL! Jon Wright's Custom Chrome, Grafton, OH had replated the chrome about 1975 and still it looked NEW! Landers Restorations, Elyria, OH had made the car look as good as NEW! Mr. Landers told me he had only removed the 60K mile engine and painted it but NEVER rebuilt it! The car would get 20-22 mpg at 60 mph all day long while cruising with local streetrodders getting 15 mph on SBC engines. I took it to the Studebaker International Meet in Charlotte but never had it judged. Sam Clay, Spring Hill, FL
  2. I have a rechromed 1930 Studebaker assembly which is 4 7/8" in diameter with 3 1/2 glass showing, actally I have two! The second is original nickel-plated with wiring and bulb. Either is $50.00 US, plus shipping.....My zip is 34608, in FL...Sam Clay [i could send photos if interested.]
  3. I have found Restoration Specialties and Supply of Windber, PA, to have the most extensive listing of items for my restorations. I think their website is > restorationspecialties.com <. Sam Clay-FL
  4. Hello, I just finished the restoration of a '30 Commander GJ that looked a lot like yours except it was not a Regal [your car is!-sidemounts,trunk and Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels.] My car had wood spoke wheels and was a 35K mile survivor. If you would like, I could e-mail photos for a guide. I was able to obtain a new casting [Very Good!]of the windshield crank housing that sits on top in a Commander and President from Custom Antique Parts, Stephen Munts, of Spokane,WA. His phone is [509]892-9258. He has a catalog of Early Studie Stuff!...Sam Clay..FL
  5. My computer-illiterate friend, Paul Porter, has a very Rare Chrysler for sale. It was purchased new in Huntington WV, and remained nearby until brought to FL by Mr. Porter 2 years ago when he moved to Port St. Lucie. The car has less than 40K miles since new and be a Prize in your Collection! In the Acceptance materials by the CCCA-yes it's the only '29 Model 75 accepted as a FULL CLASSIC- they indicated it was the only known survivor of 6-8 commissioned to be built by Locke Corp. This awesome vehicle looks, starts and runs as NEW! $75,000. or near offer, will acquire this one-of-a-kind Chrysler! I can email photos or you can arrange a visit to Warm Sunny Florida to view it in his home. Sam Clay >sam_clay38@yahoo.com<
  6. I need to sell GOLDIE, my driver, to finance three other projects. It is a 3 owner, 43k mile 4 dr. 283 AT car that has been professionally restored to show status! We have driven it 5000 miles since acquiring it in Southern Ohio [940 mile trip home to Florida] Apr. 2004. My wife picked Chrysler Inca Gold after seeing it on a PT Cruiser. I have "invested" over $10,800. in this car and would drive it anywhere! I installed a new AC system to better enjoy the Florida summers and Duals w/Smittys to enjoy the sound! $8500. or close offer takes it! I have many photos of the restoration. Sam Clay [727]422-1101
  7. The word "the" has to be added to the front when typing the URL as in >theantiquestudebakerclub<...Sam
  8. I am still looking for the correct chrome or Stainless Cowl band for my early '30 Dictator Regal sedan [4 years and counting.]..Sam Clay>sam_clay38@yahoo.com<
  9. Rod, I have a set of six of the Kelsey-Hayes 19 in. wheels with lockrings on five of the good wheels for sale. The lock tab has a pin that locks into the other side of the big lock ring after it is forced into the grove on the outer edge of the wheel and air has forced the 5.50 x 19 in. tire out against the ring. [Very dangerous operation if you ask me!] Sam Clay in FL [352]683-6109
