  1. Still looking!! Found my old post from 2003. Had I known cAr was this rare. i would have held on to it at all costs!!
  2. Looking for a project 455 motor to rebuild. I will buy accessory brackets etc. if you have. I am located in NY on long Island. Tri-state area only. Thanks.
  3. I have an Olds Cutlass Supreme ('72). The Three row radiator I got from BAP did not fit very well and I had to alter the lower brackets/bushing and cut down the top rubber isolators. I also had to bend the top cover slightly to make it all fit. None very notisable, but very frustrating. As I am sure you are all familiar with, the car was already apart, radiator drained and removed and it was in the middle of my driveway! Addition time and/or a return of the radiator was not possible. If you know the company who makes the repro I would be interested in checking it out. Thanks for the input.
  4. Just replaced my radiator from an existing 2 row to a 3 row. Had I known the "upgrade" would cause fitment problems, I would have opted for a replacement 2 row. I got it all to fit and tweaked the bushings and top cover so as it is not noticable, but I was wondering if Olds had made a larger top cover for a 3 or 4 row radiator (Heavy duty cooling?) If yes, does anyone have one. Thanks.

Air horn threads slightly stripped. Photos available for all. Need seed money for new Q-Jet.
  6. Question: Does anyone know of a company that makes quartz clock conversion kits to replace original non-functional clocks? I have a '72 Olds Cutlass Supreme. I have seen company's that will perform the coversion for big $$. I think I could do the work myself for ALOT cheaper. Just need the parts. Any help/direction would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Need help locating the faux nuts on the posts for the upper seat back. I changes the front bench seat upholstry in my Olds Supreme (1972) and can't get the right nuts. Right now I have these cheesy replacement pieces which are not even close. Help!
  8. I have got a '72 Olds with a 350/350 engine/tranny combo that I am going to swap a big block Olds into. I am going to update the radiator to a larger model, but I am wondering about the trans. I am pretty sure they will bolt up but I am not sure how long it will last. Mine is pretty much stock and would require a severe beef up or replacement from some reputable company. Has anyone sucessfully done this or am I wasting my time and just replace the unit with a TH400. I was just trying to avoid all the new work (ie. kickdown, mounts, driveshat modifications etc). Also I am trying to keep this swap low dollar (ha..ha!). Any money saved will go into my torque monster mill! Any insights out there?
  9. Looked for one myself and could not find one. They are no longer made. Only the replacement part is available. The thing really doesn't do much anyway. As long as the solenoid is in the open position, everything should run fine. Just clean up your old one and reuse. Check the solenoid by blowing through ports. One is switched the other is always open. The switch only directs engine vacuum to distributor when the engine is warming up to lower emissions (I believe!). Good luck. If you fix yours let me know. I would love to fix mine too.
  10. The big block exhaust manifold will bolt on to a small block head (I have #7 heads)?
  11. Definately heard that opinion too. Just looking for some extra horses. Thought a good ported head from Mondello w/cam and a ported stock intake would work nicely together. The only think is, w/o headers, alot of those gains wouldn't be worth the effort. The chevy guys sure have it easy! Bastards!
  12. No kidding..I didn't know Olds used an Edlebrock intake on the W-31's. Thanks for the info.
  13. As part of some mods to my 350 Olds, I would like to add some headers. I have seen headers in Mondello's catalog (Hookers) and wonder how is the fit. Has anyone used these? I am kind of a stock guy (and my car is very original), so adding headers is not my favorite option. If they don't fit on top of all this I will definitely regret the change. Rockettrader or other guru, any experience with these.
  14. Looked on ebay and no luck. If anyone has one or knows who I can contact, drop me a line. Thanks
