  2.  Lee Iacocca started a friendship with the late  Alejandro de Tomaso while at Ford, which led to the De Tomaso Pantera. During the 1980s, Iacocca headed Chrysler while De Tomaso was owner of the historic Maserati brand. In 1984, both companies signed a memorandum of understanding to create a sport coupe, which ultimately became the TC. Chrysler also became an investor in Maserati during that period. In 1985, Lee Iacocca stated that the planned "Q-coupe" would be the prettiest Italian to arrive stateside since his mother immigrated. If You Can Find a Better Car, Buy It.

The ECM part number for a 1989 TC 2.2 Turbo (non California model) is 5234124.

Be sure the wiring & connections are all the same & it all matches up before you try it.

Its almost a crapshoot on used ECMS. Some work but a lot don't.

FYI: Most salvage yards, dealers, jobber stores do not take back electrical items.

    Good Luck, Mopargary

  6. I've got a used front license plate bracket off of 1990 TC.

E-mail Gary at Mopargary@aol.com for further details.

I am also parting out the rest of my 1990 TC. VIN #206369

White paint is very good.No clear coat peal anywhere on the car.

Unfortunately the TC was hit at left pillar assembly & the left door.

Everything mechanical seems to be working great.
It also has a good working Teves power brake system.

It has a beautiful black interior & great center arm rest, black cloth top,

    great headlight assembly's & tail lights,beautiful grill,great hood & insulator,
factory wheels & white removable hardtop.
Everything else besides what I mentioned would be great for parts.

It has the 3.0 liter V/6 engine that runs good with only 41527 miles on it
and a good reman Mopar 4 speed automatic transmission.

Additional accessories for a TC that are available are:
White TC hardtop, original TC tool kit , TC umbrella
1990-1991 TC factory service manual and a 1990 TC owners manual with cover.

  8. It would be a good idea to clean the throttle body.

From Hemi: Take ordinary carburetor cleaner in a spray can, (you could also use Chrysler's Combustion Chamber Cleaner if you like or if you cant find it try Berryman/B12 carburetor choke & throttle body cleaner) remove air intake hose to the throttle body, spray a good amount into the throttle body and use an old toothbrush or your social finger and rub all around the area where the throttle plate closes in the throttle body. Spray from time to time until you feel no more buildup around an on the throttle plate. Now start the engine and allow it to clear itself. While still under the hood, rev the engine a little while spraying the carb cleaner into the throttle body to clean all the buildup away. Reinstall the air intake hose and anything else you loosened or removed."

The engine should run much smoother, start easier and not tend to stall at stops, if it did that in the past.

I do this procedure on all my cars.Just good preventive maintenance.Good Luck.
