  1. If you want it - it's yours for free! If you can take it away, it's yours for only the cost of hauling it away! This car is a major restoration project or an excellent parts car. I had planned to rebuild the car, but circumstances have changed and it has sat for a couple of years. The straight 8 engine was rebuilt by a top notch engine shop. Transmission also rebuilt. The body is sound with some minor damage and rust, floor pans need to be replaced. Interior needs restoration. Located in White Plains, NY. Email if interested to kcreary@optonline.net
  2. Engine rebuilt, never started! Powerglide transmission rebuilt. Body solid, little rust on panels, floor needs replacing. Interior very rough. I had the engine and transmission removed and rebuilt with plans to rebuild the car, but time and money say otherwise and I have not been able to get it back together(also need to reclaim the garage space!) Car is located in White Plains, NY. It must be hauled on a flatbed. Make no mistake, this would be a major project! If you're interested if taking it away, please email me at kcreary@optonline.net Thanks, Ken
  3. Thanks! After I got home I took another look and was thinking of doing just as you suggested: grind down (or cut with a Dremel!) one side. I appreciate the suggestion on the washers. I agree; can't be too safe! Also, thanks for the offer of the stock bolts. If I screw things up, I'll come back to you!
  4. The bolts used for the torque converter to flywheel on the 1950 Super have a rounded off head. The fellow who rebuilt my engine lost these bolts! Is there any reason I should not use regular hex head machine bolts instead? If I need to replace these, any thoughts on where I migh find some? Thanks! -Ken
