1. This looks like the work of EDBM E M = Morgans
2. Did the new top have a heated rear window or plastic? I will replace my top this winter and would appreciate any and all hints /instructions on the installation.
3. Where did you get the top, and what did it cost, I would like to replace the top on one of my Convertibles. Charlie
4. I saw a 90 Reatta connvertible on E-Bay, owner says he bought it for a parts car but now wants to sell it for $5500.(Start bid) has 153K miles. Does any one think he will sell it. I would buy it for parts, but not for that much money. Charlie B
5. I saw your post so figuring that if other guys can do it then I can too. So this afternoon I tore into my 90,s driver door, removed the module (not the easiest task) and after all this I found the switch to be good.(Checked continuity with switch in open and closed positions). I don't know why I thought it was the driver door, but I didn't know how to tell which side was bad. So, tomorrow I will get into the other door to check out that switch. I'm sure glad I wasn't paying by the hour to this job, I 'm not the fastest in the world when I get inside a door. But no cuts or bruises today, We'll see what tomorrow brings.
6. Hey G M Ross, Where is that one and only 5 speed? I want it. Charlie B.
7. EDSBO I knocked on my head as I was typing that note Charlie
8. Take it back to the shop that did the work, it is their responsibility to replace the missing items. And after they replace them at no cost to you, I would suggest that you never have them touch your Reatta again.Charlie B.
9. Edbso It seems you and G M Ross got me mixed up with another senior citizen, It was Reatta 1 asking the question about codes. My Reattas' don,t have any codes, If something goes wrong I just throw parts at it. Fortunately I have not had a problem with either of them. I do feel very fortunate, Charlie
10. Sorry about that, I just reread my last message, it sounded angry, I'm not angry, just trying to keep things going here. Charlie B.
11. EDBSO NO!!! I did not see the hidden message. My PC won't accept anything that's not out in the open. FROU FROU Convertible??? certainly not mine. You seemed to like it in Vermont. Charlie
12. Can it be, some one would question EDBSO, But I have to agree with JJ, The real mens cars had muscle. Reattas are great, but no real muscle, unless we could sneak a 363 Chev under the hood. Charlie B.
13. There were two Reattas at the show, My white Convertible and Robert ("Edbso")Fletchers'white coupe. They were parked next to each other. Charlie B.
14. Hey EDBSO, Yes I got home in good shape, and I see that you did too. I have to say the highlight of the day was meeting you and your lovely wife. I truly enjoyed meeting you folks. It is nice to be able to put a face with the posts. You are correct, there were some fine autos at the show. And yes , I will take the Convertible and rebalance the tires and have the stick on weights put on the inside of the wheels. Thanks for the advice. By the way, you have a very nice Reatta. Reguards, Charlie
15. Saw one at auction a couple of weeks ago , silver with 120 K, sunroof,16 wayseat, CD player and about a $300 ding in the right rear 1/4 panel. It looked pretty good except for the R/S damage. It sold for $950. Charlie B.
16. Drove up to Stowe to the "British Invasion" auto show. Sure were a lot of very nice cars there. The big part of the day for me was that I met "EDBSO" (Robert Fletcher)and his wife. It seems we had the only Reattas there, Of course it was a British car show so I didn't expect to see more than his and mine. He is a very nice person , as is his wife. They drove down from Ottowa In his white Reatta coupe. At least now I will know one of the guys from the forum when I see his posts. He is very knowledgable about our little cars. Told me to get those ugly weights off my wheels and have some stick ons put on the back side of the wheels I looked at his wheels and they were perfect, as was the rest of his coupe. I drove a little over 400 miles today, so I think I will reward myself with a little BOMBAY. G'nite Charlie B.
17. If the cable broke off at the handle( under the dash) you can cut off the casing, don't cut the wire itself, then pull on the wire with pliers. If it broke off at the hood lock, the way is to get under the front end and try to reach the latch, you may have to remove a panel or two to get at it. The only other way would be to break the grille and reach in to pull on the release mechanism. (A bit expensive but a lot less work.) Charlie B.
18. You guys ought to try "BOMBAY SAPHIRE" (rocks-twist) Charlie B.
19. BREH Thanks for the flasher location, Ihad thought of taking the seat out so I can fit my skinny little a** in there. My back still hurts from my last try two days ago. Charlie B.
20. The weather forecast for Stowe Vt. is RAIN Sat and Sun.
21. Don B. Thanks for the info, I guess I'm getting dumber every day, I couldn't find anything in the Manual. I'll have to look again. I may just leave every thing as is, it is working OK, I just thought it should have a longer delay between the lighting sequence. Charlie B.
22. EDBSO Where are you coming from to go to Stowe Vt. (Brit Show) If the weather is good I may take a ride up there. It,s not too far for me. I live on the Ct./ Mass Border. Just look for a white convertible, White top, white mldgs,Maroon interior, with Texas plates. It may be the only Reatta there. Charlie B.
23. I just installed sequential Sig.Lites on one of my "Verts". Seems like it is flashing too fast. So, I bought a heavy duty flasher. The problem is, I can't find the d*** thing under the dash. I removed the trim panel, and have broken my back in three places while wiggling around under the dash. I ain't as young as I used to be. Please help this poor old man(with the broken back).Tell me where it is. But please don't just say it's under the dash. Thanks in advance. Charlie B.
24. Fantastic!!! Accordingly I think EDBSO should be promoted from "Senior" to "GRAND PUBAH"(sp) for his efforts to save the world from Sadham. He must have had Padgett and Broliar with him as aides. Charlie B.
25. You must have logged out after a previous session, It happened to me a while back, You just have to log in again.
