  1. That is a huge help. I've probably overlooked it a dozen times while I've been digging through the car. I will check this evening. Thanks so much for the help and the fast response.
  2. My grandfather purchased his Riviera new in 1964 and drove it consistently until 2003 when he stopped driving. The car was parked in the garage and hasn't been untarped until now when the house was put on the market. I assumed the registration would be in the glove compartment but there's only the insurance card for 2003. In order to get a new title to be able to sell the car I need the VIN but the VIN on the insurance card is abbreviated. I can't find the VIN in the places around the windshield where I know them to be today and the state only keeps registration records for 10 years. I found the build plate in the engine bay which doesn't indicate the VIN. I also don't see it on the engine block or other places people have suggested I look. If anyone is familiar with where to find the VIN on a 1964 Buick Riviera, I'd appreciate any direction you could provide. Thanks
