  1. My rear ratio is as well 2.75:1. With e4OD rpm will drop from 2.070 to 1.470 at 55 mph. The 429 is fuel injected and has a low torque band, so plenty for low rpm operation. Another thing I like with the e¤OD is the lockup converter.
  2. Thanks for your reply, and my apology of missing what this OD transmission is replacing. Currently running a 429 with a C6. What I am asking is related to spacing, as I am aware that the e4OD is longer and larger than the C6. And i will not tamper with the transmission and tunnel or floor pan. I am not concerned about the alternator and power steering pump, as there is plenty at idle. further I have swapped the cooling fan with an electric unit.
  3. Hi Do anyone have any experience or knowledge wether a ford e4OD transmission will fit in a 1972 Mercury, or similar body for these years full size vehicle? I amaware of the electronics and crossmember relocation. I am more concerned about the transmission tunnel and floor pan. Thanks
  4. Hi I am to rebuild a worn Ross steering gear at my 1929 Standard Six. It is a ross steering gear. I am in doubt how to separate the steering column from the steering gear, without messing with the contacts for horn and lightening switch. Is it as simple as just loosening the larg nut at the base of the column? Lars
