  1. Great info in that link E_Johnson, I appreciate it.. Eric
  2. Thanks again Terry, and i hear ya...I have broken insulators that i have found along the RR line from the 1870s..they are valued at zero dollars but you can not put a value on cool or history in that way...so I get what you're saying...thanks again for the reply I appreciate it.... Eric
  3. Thanks guys, I appreciate the replies so far..it definitely is original whatever the time frame....interesting Terry that you mention the 1930s..there were a few items that were coming out of this dump from the 30s and even as early as the 1880s but generally it is a 1910s-20s dump....is there still any value to such a sign in this condition at all?..... Eric
  4. I am new to this site and have posted a few questions thus far asking for help in identifying several items as well as what models they may go to as well as time lines...everyone has been very helpful in which i am appreciative. I have been digging old dumps in the woods for about 35+ years...I collect and study old glass insulators as well as some bottles, i have come upon many car parts over the years and of course before the advent of the internet I relied on friends for identification of certain vehicle parts....many of those friends are gone now and i am not that computer or technology literate...so this site will be great for me or a friend of mine that digs also to get the help we need with our finds......here is a Champion Spark Plug sign that my friend found in a 1910s-20s dump.....does this sign seem to match up with the 1910s-20s time line of the other items coming from this dump?.... Eric
  5. Thanks Terry, i appreciate the help on that.....
  6. I do not know what this is, so if someone can describe to me how it was used and what it went to as well as if you can identify the time frame it was being used, that would be great, thanks, Eric
  7. Thanks drwatson, I couldn't think of the right term other than trim piece in my initial question, but i since remembered that they were sill plates....that time line fits as well since all the stuff i am asking about on here has been coming out of a 1910s-20s dump that a friend of mine has been digging....very cool to know that it probably came from a Model T...thanks again to you and f.f.jones for getting back to me on this......I will post questions regarding other items as well.. Eric
  8. I would like to know if this is a door trim piece? Also if anyone could let me know which model it went on as well as an apx. time line, that would be great...thanks alot, Eric
  9. Thanks for the information Terry, i think that sums it up nicely....by the way, that is a great collection of items on your board.... Eric
  10. A friend of mine who is digging in a 1910s-20s dump has come up with this item. We do not know of this is a stop light for a car, truck, bus, etc or is this a stop light from an old school stop/go traffic signal?...any help is much appreciated,. thanks..
