  1. Thanks Ken. That's good to know. The 700R4 has certainly made the car more enjoyable to drive, and perhaps a little more economical. Every bit helps when fuel is $2.60/litre here.
  2. Thanks Ken. I had heard something about the differences in the 55 gears. If I understood correctly something to do with riveted vs bolted. I specifically need the 3.9's as they compliment the 700R4 transmission I am running behind the straight 8. Gets me 1,900 rpm at 100kph/62mph with the torque converter locked up. Regards. Dean.
  3. Hi. I'm looking for 3.9:1 ratio gears in good condition to suit the 1940-55 differentials. This is the ratio I'm currently using, however the gear set I have is in very poor condition. I live in New Zealand so it's not practical for me to buy/have shipped a complete differential or differential head because of the weight. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Dean.
