It’s stated that the Olds 324 engine is internally balanced and that the harmonic balancer is a “0” balance balancer or just a pulley. Mine has separated as well so can I take the loose ring off and just run it as a pulley? It runs smooth as it is.

Hello. The harmonic balancer on my 56 olds 88 324 engine has separated. Rubber gone. If it is a zero balancer because engine is internally balanced can I just remove the loose ring and run it as a pulley?
