  1. I need to ask my skinny buddy to get under there for me. Lol. But I think that's all it needs. I think I got lucky.
  2. Here's the connection behind the oil pressure gauge. It doesn't look split to me, just loose.
  3. Lol...my kid wouldn't fit much better than me!
  4. Thanks. I'll try to get my pudgy butt up under the dash and have a look.
  5. I took my car out for a short spin and found a fair amount of motor oil on the floorboard beneath the dash just to the right of the steering wheel. I'm thinking it's the oil pressure gauge. Anything I should look for? I'm pretty new to this.
  6. Oops. Newbie mistake...2516. I fat-fingered it.
  7. It apparently just pulls off, but I didn't want to force it. It's like Pfeil's pics
  8. I'll post pics, but we're not picking up the car til this weekend. Owner is coming from out of state to sign it over. I'll get better pics when it's at its new home.
  9. Thanks Bloo. I'm probably going to be on here with newbie questions for awhile, so I hope I don't become an annoyance.
  10. Nope. Black, but a different one. Found it at a local estate sale. Now I get to learn about a 1940 4 door DELUXE 6! And thank for the response!
  11. Hi. New here. Just acquired a nice 40 Pontiac, but the oil filler cap seems stuck. I'm afraid to force it but I need to remove it. I'm not even sure if it's a friction fit or threaded. Any suggestions?
