I own a 1941 Studebaker that someone else restored and said that he never got the hill-holder working. A mechanic friend and I have removed the unit and installed a service kit (the original parts didn't look bad either). The hydraulic system has been bled, the adjusting rod has been adjusted at different lengths, but it still doesn't work. Suggestions?
