  1. The Pitt Meadows Museum has a McCormick-Deering 15-30 tractor that received the transplant of a 1929 Pymouth Silver Dome 4 cyl. engine at some point early in its life. The engine has good compression, makes decent +30 psi oil pressure, generator charges, radiator has been rebuilt with modern core. Belts, hoses, spark plugs, oil/filter have all been replaced. It does draw combustion air through the McC-D's oil bath cleaner. The carb is a Schebler but we have no information on this updraft unit - settings, adjustments etc. - a manual would be very nice. We would like to accurately set mixture and idle. All INFO, ADVICE is most welcome. Rick Higgs Museum Volunteer
  2. We have a 1929 Plymouth Silver Dome 4 cyl "U" engine - NO water pump - that was transplanted into an older McCormick-Deering 15 30 Tractor. What would the original carburetor have been? I ask because the current set up does not look to be original.
  3. The Pitt Meadows Heritage & Museum Society owns 1 of 2 REO trucks that were primarily used by Hoffmann & Son Ltd. in its ditch digging business. One truck was sold and was restored locally. The 2nd is owned by the Society and is in its collection of vehicles and stationary engines. We 'may' have questions as we hope to return the Society's REO to operating condition for Exhibits and Parades. Here is a photo of the Society's Hoffmann Machine shop and the REO that was restored after sale by Hans Hoffmann.
