  1. drwatson, Thank you for your assistance. The link you gave me, takes me to the eBay seller who actually helped on the other vintage auto part forum that I referred to. In addition to the one he has listed, he claims to have two smaller ones like mine but doesn’t know what they fit. Mine has an overall length of 3/4 inch which is slightly smaller. Continued searching, has led me to the 1966 Dodge Dart heater control knob: https://www.google.com/search?q=1966+dodge+dart+dash+pictures&source=lmns&bih=642&biw=375&hl=en-US&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjPudrpsr7_AhVXBkQIHS5zBZcQ0pQJKAB6BAgAEAY#imgrc=ffDQUBR88cZJGM&ip=1&piu=ps:2 A close up of it: If you’ll notice, the set screw is in the same off center location as mine and based on the position of the knob relative to the lever, the slot in the back has to be off center like mine is. Being from a Dart instead of a Coronet makes sense that it would be smaller. I’ve also searched 1964-1967 Dart dashes and the heater control knobs for each year are different from each other. The only problem is, the geometry of the concave feature in the end of the 1966 Dart knob picture appears to be less ornate than mine. Does anyone know if it was common practice for Mopar to make small changes like this during a production run?
  2. TomH.S., The concave end feature is purely decorative; nothing moves. Assistance from another vintage auto part identification forum and more internet searching found a similar knob on the heater control for a 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 (see attached). However, this knob may be larger than mine and the set screw appears to be more centrally located on that side. I suspect my knob is for a smaller function on a Mopar product.
  3. TomH.S. Thank you for looking and responding. In light of your search results, I’m wondering if this knob was actually for a ventilation control lever on a dash or something else for that matter. Then when it was repurposed for a missing seat back release lever on the Dodge Dart and failed it, ended up in the tool box. I hate to throw it away when it could be the missing piece for someone’s restoration.
  4. The attached photos I believe are of a front seat back release knob for a 2-door car. It’s been in my tool box for decades. It may have been from a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport but I have reason to doubt it. Does anyone recognize this part and know what vehicle it fits?
