    I bought a Ford Model A rear axle that said it was for a 1928–1931. I then bought a set of rear backing plates that were supposed to be for the same years. The 6 hole center fits but the 5 hole center doesn’t. What’s the difference between these? My best guess is that 1928-1929 rear axle is different from 1930-1931.
