There is a store near me that sells USED TIRES! i can't imagine what his labially insurance is.

It's good to know that they are really fussy on the details.
Back 40 years ago if you bought a fender, door and a qut. panel for the same car, rarely did the body lines meet up in a straight line!
A few years ago, I installed a complete floor on a 56 Belair and it showed up defects in a previous repair to the inner panels.

I had gone to 3 or 4 inspection stations with my"33" hot rod that had conveniently "just closed" before I was inspected at one. He failed it because I had the license plate bolted to the grille instead or the Mass. mandate, "the plate must be firmly attached to the license plate bracket".
While driving home, I got a ticket for driving without a inspection sticker!

I received a phone call from a member, and it turns out that it did not come from an engine, but a piece of machinery called a die cutting press.
Anybody out there that needs a name plate for their keys so that they don't get lost?

I have a plaque that was welded onto to a very large engine.
It is made of 1/4" steel and is15" high and 46" long.
The steel letters welded onto it are 12" high and are 1/2" thick.
I wonder if anybody would know what engine it was mounted on and maybe it's history.
I suspect that it is at least 50 to 60 years old. It is painted green with maybe red letters.

When buying a new compressor, the three things to rely on are the CFM, pressure and the RPM.
The tank size is relatively unimportant, although the larger the tank, the more economically the compressor will run.
Look up on an air consumption chart and see what your tools require for CFM and buy accordingly.
Nobody ever said " I bought a too large of an air compressor"
Note. If you price two compressors of the same cfm and they are priced completely different from each other,
Think of buying Oats. If you want nice clean oats, that is one price. But if you want to settle for oats that have already been through the horse, that is much cheaper.
Note to Steve Braverman, Your 50 year old compressor will probably last longer than any new one that you will but at the big box store. I have a new 30 hp compressor and I keep a 80 year old one for a back up and start it regularly.

In looking closely at your pic, I am wondering if the rotted panel is actually steel due to the rust around the windshield molding.
The rot may have been filled with Aluma lead'. Time to get out your magnet!
-
The corroded aluminum must be removed and replaced. I would adhere it with a structural adhesive made to bond aluminum to steel, commonly used in truck repair.
( The product in the photo could be 'Aluma lead', a type of filler that is plastic with a lot of powered aluminum mixed in.)

I could see that if somebody had been trying to sell an item and had advertised it several times that he might say that.
It could also mean that if you showed up with a couple of bucks you could own it!

First thing to do is give them a good bath and clear out all the "junk" around the car so that people can walk around them!
Second, advertise them very soon, tis the season to buy!
Plenty of pictures in the ads! (The #1 request that you will receive will be to send them more pics, this will drive you crazy!
Write a long resume explaining everything that you know about the car. Include your e-mail.
Third, Put in a new battery and get them properly started if possible or at least, oil and turn the engine over by hand.

If you want a good tire paint, check with Russia, have you noticed how good the missile carries in their May Day parade look?
Actually, because Russia can't afford to change tired every 6 years due to ozone cracking, they paint them to protect them from ozone. So maybe there is a new life for tire paint!

With 5 cars registered, i get about 50 miles per year driving to local events. 😁 Gas mileage varies.

Danny, looking at the side view of the drag line bucket, I can see the front of a mini car, just add a seat and a few wheels.

Don't store a Vinal top in the down position as it will shrink, and you will not be able to put it up,
Besides the mice love to sleep in it over the winter.

Correct VIN is 1FTYX98X4GVAC281010 I am guessing on the last 3 digits based on the best photo submitted by Larry.
I think the 8th number (x) means there is a hidden #, 4.

Quoted from Google, "
What are the old Ford divisions?Ford now encompasses two brands: Ford and Lincoln. Ford once owned 5 other luxury brands: Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Mercury. Over time, those brands were sold to other companies and Mercury was discontinued." -
The truck was made in the Louisville Kentucky plant. I am trying to find out what division of Ford it is called for purposes of the VIN,, I would think it would be T for Truck?

The spacing is not right for a T
According to a decoder that I printed, the second and third #s are the Manufacturer and division.

This post reminded me of the first qut. panel that i seen being installed.
He pop rivited a used qut. over the complete dented qut. and filled it with bondo.
Because he didn't trim off the lower edge of either qut., it was impossible to remove the tire!
Ps, The next time that I seen him, several years later, he was an insurance appraiser telling me how to repair a car!
