Hi everybody and thank you for letting me join. I am searching for a very special car. It was my fathers first car and a car I can remember being in my memories as a child. My father and I had garage restored the car together and there are a lot of memories that were made. That said, due to divorce my father sold the car between 20-22 years ago ( I’m aware a lot of time has passed) but I’m still looking for it. The car was a 37 Buick special without the humpback trunk. The interior had been redone in silver and tan cloth with a lot of rope work in the door panels. The car had been painted a dark black cherry metallic and still had a straight 8. It was running and driving when it was sold. The car was sold out of northern Illinois (Mchenry area) or southern Wisconsin ( twin lakes/Genoa city area). If you have it I’m not going to pressure you to sell I just want to see if it is still out there, I’m sure it has changed hands a few times and has been altered since, it’s a long shot but thank you for reading this post. I would love to know someone has it and they have and are making their own memories with it. I am Sorry I don’t have any pictures as back then camera phones were not even a thought yet.
