  1. Great intel, thank you. Life was keeping from the car for a bit- going to be back at it soon - much appreciated. I'm excited to compare notes on this!
  2. The mechanical pump was long gone by the time I acquired the car unfortunately.
  3. 1939 Plymouth P8 deluxe. 6v Positve ground. Can I use a Carter fuel pump specified for negative ground / just puttin the Neg on the Pos terminal and connecting Pos. To chassis? I cant seem to find anything reliable on this topic. The fuel pump that I bought is Carter 4259BE. Thanks!
  4. I know - cheap to replace too. Simply strange symptoms. Was attempting to keep what was on the car....on the car. That's all. Thanks.
  5. Anybody have experience with this pump? Strange symptoms. It's clean, won't move fuel through it. As soon as I disconnect the fuel line, the fuel that it pulled in, but did not discharge, then discharges and looks like good flow. Lasts only may maybe 2 seconds of course as the full line is disconnected. When I reconnect, it will not move fuel. Seems like strange venting issue ....if that's a thing on these Thanks.
