  1. Can someone help me understand the difference between the "small" and the "large" Buicks? I gotta tell ya that trying to make sense of the various Buick models is kinda tough. It seems that the small cars have the 122 inch wheelbase, 57.6 inches height, 78.1 inches width and are the following: 41 Special 2 door Sedan (small D pillar) 43 Special 4 door Riveria (hardtop with small D pillar) 46C Special 2 door Convertible 46R Special 2 door Riveria (hardtop with small D pillar) 48 Special 2 door Sedan (this is also a 2 door sedan like the 41 so what is different) 49 Special 4 door Sedan Estate Wagon (hardtop wagon) 49D Special 4 door Riveria (hardtop) Estate Wagon 61 Century 4 door Sedan (small D pillar) 63 Century 2 door Riveria Sedan (looks like a hardtop with small D pillar) 66R Century (looks like a hardtop with small D pillar) 66C Century 2 door Convertible 69 4 door Sedan Estate Wagon (hardtop wagon) Looks like the "big" cars have a 127.5 inch wheelbase, 59.4 inches height, 79.8 inches wide and are the following: 53 Super Riveria Sedan (looks like a hard top to me with a small D pillar but it has a small rear wing window) 56R 2 door Riveria (hardtop with thick ribbed D pillar) 75 Roadmaster Riveria Sedan (looks like a hard top to me with a small D pillar but it has a small rear wing window) 75R Roadmaster Riveria 2 door (hardtop with thick D pillar) 75C Roadmaster 2 door Convertible Bigger Cars are "luxury length" and have a 127.5 inch wheelbase and 59.4 inches in height, 79.8 inches wide, and are the following: 750 Roadmaster Limited Riveria 4 door (looks like a hardtop with small D pillar and rear wing window) Vertical chrome on quarter panel 755 Limited Riveria 2 door (hardtop with thick D pillar) 756 Limited Convertible So what do the different models have with respect to interior appointments and dashboard chrome? Im sure someone has this stuff all figured out... THANKS!!!
  2. I was planning on going up to look at that car this weekend but I cannot make any flights work.
  3. I looked on eBay however I cannot find that car. Do you know anything about it or can you please send me a link?
  4. Sorry I think I posted in the wrong forum. I reposted in this Buick Post War forum:
  5. First post. I am diligently looking for a 1958 Buick. I don't really know what model I am looking for so does anyone recommend a book or website that can educate me on the different models and options? Please feel free to provide with with whatever education on the subject you see fit as I really want to learn about the breed. I prefer a 2 door and I am looking for something that has either been fully restored or mostly gone through. Not opposed to finishing up a current project however I do not want to start from scratch...getting too old for another frame off restoration. If anyone has such a car or knows of one then please let me know. If you want your car to go to a good home and the next caretaker will respect and treat it right...I'm the guy for the job. I live in Arizona. THANKS!!! Bill
