  1. Do you have an exhaust manifold and could it fit a 35 olds? Thanks Tim
  2. Looking for a manifold! no cracks, all mounting tabs With a free moving exhaust redirect thingie. I have the thermospring Thanks!
  3. Here is the cracked exhaust manifold off of a 1935 Oldsmobile. It’s also slightly bent I’ve heard it can be ground out, heated up and brazed Thoughts?
  4. I haven’t tested the automatic choke thingie that’s for the E that’s on the intake manifold. It doesn’t connect to the B linkage. The electric choke presently on the B is not hooked up either. I was going to put a manual choke cable on, just so I have something Realllly torn between originality and drivability… oh yeah, the manifold itself is pretty trashed. Need a new one, if anyone knows where I can find it
  5. Hello all My 1935 Oldsmobile has an incorrect to stock carb on the engine. The original would have been a Stromberg EX-22 but it presently has a Stromberg BXOV-2. It runs great with the BX but Im a bit of a purist and I want to switch back to stock Thoughts? Tim
  6. The nut extraction method worked! it released with a bang The engine, which has sat in a barn for 40 years, is surprisingly clean. It turns over with little effort and aside from some light surface rust, the cylinders are super smooth! Thanks everyone for your input. This forum is a saviour!
  7. DFeeney I was just in the process of milling down some bolts to fit between the Tcase and bell housing to do just that! Got some DeepCreep in there too
  8. We’ve been working on it all day with pry bars, pickle forks and drifts… soaked it down. Will try again in the morning
  9. Only pulls out about 1/4” or so It feels like im missing a circlip or something
  10. Update still can’t get them separated. The input shaft looks super rusted so we soaked it and heated it up. It moves now on the clutch plate but it still wont release…
  11. WANTED TO BUY I need an exhaust manifold for my 35 Olds that has all its tabs and no cracks. Will take one with intake manifold attached Thanks! Tim
  12. The 35 Olds service manual doesn’t say anything about removing the transmission but the Motors manual just says unbolt and pull apart…
  13. I will get it back on the hoist tomorrow and look underneath and then see if the inspection cover can be removed
  14. I thought of something like that, strangely, the vent/inspection cover has what looks like rivets and not screws holding it on. Not sure how to get it off!
  15. Hello all Ive removed the engine from the frame and the bolts holding the transmission to the bell housing. The transmission only seems to move out about 1/2” before stopping. Is there something stopping it? Do I just need to keep hammering them apart?
  16. This is material in the body panels, not in the engine bay or clutch and brake systems Under the headliner, behind the kick panels ect
  17. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is asbestos in the sound deadening material that’s on the inside of all the body panels of my 1935 Oldsmobile. it is mostly original see pics
  18. Well.. As I was trimming the end gaskets, i was thinking that it was probly wrong and was hoping someone would point that out.. And I only used the screw gun to get the first few bolts going because it was a real task trying to reinstall the pan by my self. Good times!
  19. There is definitely snow here… Southern Ontario

  21. Flushed out the rad and block of my 1927 Chrysler a few weeks ago https://youtu.be/UPrk5dtkKRI
  22. Here is my pan removal and installation video! 1927 Chrysler oil pan removal
  23. I used silicon gasket material to hold everything in place and applied the gasket to the pan
  24. Heres my 27 Red Head with the oil pan off. Be mindful of the oil strainer when removing. And yes, get the proper gaskets from Olson’s, its a 4 part gasket that is tricky to install correctly
  25. The culprit. It looks like just a bushing
