Does anyone have documented evidence that the underside floor pans were painted red oxide color. My 1957 Chevy Bel Air was built in the Oakland, CA factory on December 12th, 1956. I am looking for as much corroborating information as possible. Thank in advance for your assistance.

Hi Everyone, I need your assistance to validate if the firewall paint was not buffed to a gloss as is the body of the car. in my case it is Matador Red. I have attached a picture of my engine bay, please let me know your opinions, and is there any source material that would confirm this. Also, my radiator is more shiny than standard under hood black, would that be considered factory stock.
